Agora

The Agorà Restaurant reflects with its atmosphere and cuisine the typical characteristics of the Civita area. Situated in the historic centre of the village, in Piazza Municipio, it presents itself to guests as a structure with a familiar yet refined appearance.

The restaurant's three rooms can accommodate up to 150 people. The first, with 52 seats, has a window facing the square, the second, the gala room, which lends itself well to hosting important banquets, with its 70 seats is finely decorated with terracotta mosaics and houses the 'pizza corner', on view. The third room, finally, is an elegant and reserved environment, with 30 seats, and houses the Agorà wine cellar, where excellent wines and spirits can be chosen by guests.

At the Agorà Restaurant you will find all the traditional Calabrian and Arbëreshë dishes, based on the valorisation of 'poor' ingredients, revisited with creativity and skill by our chefs and combined with the flavours of quality local products.
Thanks to rich hors d'oeuvres made up of tasty samples, you can experience all the most typical flavours of the area, from cheeses to cured meats, ham, seasonal fritters and extra virgin olive oil, to the goodness of country-style potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Among the many specialities, you cannot miss the different formats of handmade pasta and a wide selection of the best cuts of meat, locally produced.

Those who arrive at the Agora will be assured of being welcomed and projected into a culture handed down for centuries, based on the values of family, hospitality and conviviality.

Guests are also entertained by a fine selection of music, and on many evenings by 'live' music with national and international artists who will liven up your evenings while you sip a good glass of wine made from local grapes. A place for everyone, also suitable for families and vegetarians.

The Loricate Pine

Surrounded by greenery, it offers a breathtaking view of the village lying on the rocks, and the spectacular spirals of the Raganello gorges. The structure, reminiscent of cosy huts built on high ground, will warmly welcome you. The landlord, Mr Giovanni, who has decades of experience in the restaurant business, will be your host, welcoming you with typical civitiota hospitality. At the Pino Loricato you can taste the oldest flavours of the Pollino: the sheep and goat cheeses, the excellent cold meats and salamis among which the raw ham cut with a knife according to tradition deserves a mention, the tasty grilled meats, the kid goat prepared with the typical herbs of the place, and for the strongest palates the 'mazzacorde' typical dish prepared with kid offal. And finally, the jewel in the crown is a tasty 36-hour leavened pizza baked in an oven built more than a hundred years ago.

L' Oste D' Arberia

The family project of L'Oste d'Arberia was born in a building dating back to 1919. A place open to lovers of wine and good food, where there is a perfect blend of old and new.
L'Oste d'Arberia is the result of the long experience in the field of sommellerie and also catering of Francesco, who together with his family has created the place to experience the culture of Arberia, a geographical expression that identifies the Italo-Albanian community. The menu offers a decisive juxtaposition of tradition and innovation, a fusion of 'simple' and 'revisited' cuisine, always choosing organic products and local excellence. One part of the building houses the wine cellar, where a careful selection of wines representing the local, regional and top national labels can be found.
In addition, the small rooms will be able to accommodate artists who wish to exhibit their works. And the small garden offers the opportunity to experience conviviality in contact with nature.

Kamastra Restaurant

Kamastra Restaurant is in Civita, an Arbëreshë village located in the Pollino National Park.

The gastronomic proposal, closely linked to the territory and rigorously faithful to the local natural resources, becomes a guiding thread for the rediscovery of local culinary traditions, according to a well-defined path that, at one time, tends to combine the ancient flavours of the Calabrian land and the peasant world, with the Balkan influences handed down through the preservation of the ethnic origins of the Land of the Eagles.

The Kamastra Restaurant's main dishes are those that, although they have their origins in the so-called 'poor peasant dishes', have rightfully gained a prominent place even in 'rich' gastronomy, due to the indisputable goodness and quality of the ingredients.
The pasta is handmade and even the desserts are handmade following old recipes jealously guarded and lovingly handed down.

The large dining room was created from rooms that had already been used as a spinning mill in the 1950s; the imposing old brick arches support the ceiling made of wooden beams and planks of fir and chestnut from the Pollino mountains, creating an atmosphere of pleasant architectural movement and a suffused feeling of livability and warmth.
