Hami&Pimi

Among the chimneys and anthropomorphic houses of Civita, enveloped in an intimate atmosphere is a small bistro nestled in the narrow streets of the village: Hami e Pimi. Here you can taste local delicacies: Pollino cold cuts and excellent goat and sheep cheeses. Exquisite jams prepared according to age-old tradition, and unfailing vegetable dishes, cooked in a variety of ways and respecting traditional recipes but made lighter and more digestible. Guests are also entertained by a fine selection of music, and on many evenings by 'live' music with national and international artists who will liven up your evenings while you sip a good glass of wine made from local grapes. A place for everyone, also suitable for families and vegetarians.

Home For Creativity

Home For Creativity is a family-run coliving in the countryside of Montalto Uffugo, where the owners have chosen to share their home and life with perfect strangers to turn this choice into an opportunity for constant personal and professional growth.

The home restaurant offers its guests a very pleasant gastronomic experience with the opportunity to taste local and garden produce.

Much attention is paid to traditional dishes, made according to old-fashioned recipes, and great care is given to the choice of wine, which comes from a cellar strictly made in Calabria.

The Loricate Pine

Just before Borgo Civitese, along the road that follows the barren Marcione hill, after a while you will find the restaurant 'Il pino Loricato'. Surrounded by greenery, it offers a breathtaking view of the village lying on the rocks, and the spectacular spirals of the Raganello gorges. The structure, reminiscent of cosy huts built on high ground, will warmly welcome you. The landlord, Mr Giovanni, who has decades of experience in the restaurant business, will be your host, welcoming you with typical civitiota hospitality. At the Pino Loricato you can taste the oldest flavours of the Pollino: the sheep and goat cheeses, the excellent cold meats and salamis among which the raw ham cut with a knife according to tradition deserves a mention, the tasty grilled meats, the kid goat prepared with the typical herbs of the place, and for the strongest palates the 'mazzacorde' typical dish prepared with kid offal. And finally, the jewel in the crown is a tasty 36-hour leavened pizza baked in an oven built more than a hundred years ago.

L' Oste D' Arberia

The family project of L'Oste d'Arberia was born in a building dating back to 1919. A place open to lovers of wine and good food, where there is a perfect blend of old and new.
L'Oste d'Arberia is the result of the long experience in the field of sommellerie and also catering of Francesco, who together with his family has created the place to experience the culture of Arberia, a geographical expression that identifies the Italo-Albanian community. The menu offers a decisive juxtaposition of tradition and innovation, a fusion of 'simple' and 'revisited' cuisine, always choosing organic products and local excellence. One part of the building houses the wine cellar, where a careful selection of wines representing the local, regional and top national labels can be found.
In addition, the small rooms will be able to accommodate artists who wish to exhibit their works. And the small garden offers the opportunity to experience conviviality in contact with nature.

The Byzantine

For those arriving in the city of Rossano, a town with an ancient Byzantine past, a visit to its many splendid monuments such as the Monastery of the Patire, the Church of the Panaghia, the Church of St Mark and the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art where the Codex Purpureus Rossanensis, a valuable 6th century illuminated gospel book, is kept.
After visiting the many treasures of the place, for lunch or dinner based on traditional flavours, a stop at the trattoria-pizzeria 'La bizantina', located in the immediate vicinity, is a must.
of St Mark's Church.
"La Bizantina' knows how to be welcoming in every season; during the winter, the atmosphere in the restaurant is reminiscent of the past, with its stone walls, warmed by the flame of a fireplace that is always lit, while in the spring, the trattoria-pizzeria 'La Bizantina' is transformed and gives way to a garden in bloom that is nothing short of splendid, where the flavour of each dish is further enhanced by the enchanting scenery of the Rossano mountains that provide the backdrop to each meal.
In all this, the service and friendliness of the owner, 'The Director', and his wife, the cook, excel, making this place one of the most sought-after for lovers of taste and refinement.

La Rondinella - Osteria Pop

La rondinella - Osteria Pop is located at the foot of Scalea's historical centre and was established about 30 years ago, thanks to Anna and Ciriaco's passion for cooking and country life. A project that from the very first moment cultivated the goal of reviving the tastes of a past that seems, thus, less distant.

The restaurant consists of a large, rustic and cosy dining room, where guests will be welcomed and accompanied by Giovanni and Francesca on a journey through flavours and old-fashioned recipes, being able to choose from dishes that combine the quality of the raw materials with chef Antonio's flair.

The menu, which is always varied, is in fact an ongoing quest to combine tradition and innovation, starting with fresh ingredients that arrive directly and daily from the family farm.

Finally, a small, well-kept outdoor area will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy their meals outdoors, with the possibility of participating in musical and cultural evenings.
