Gerace

Discovering Gerace (RC) means forgetting your surroundings to immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere of one of Italy's most beautiful villages. It means venturing onto the rocky spur on which the village is perched to enjoy an incredible panorama and it means experiencing the solid local tradition of handicrafts, good food and millenary historical cultures. All this within a unique landscape, typical of the Aspromonte National Park, where this small village is located.

Guardia Perticara

The small village of Guardia Perticara, in Basilicata (PZ), is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and is a small oasis of peace and tranquillity, where ancient history merges with the present in the narrow streets, small squares, arches and stairways that criss-cross the village, creating a truly typical scenario. A perfect destination for slow tourism, abandoning the hurried pace and enjoying the beauty of small things.

Laino Borgo

Along the border between Calabria and Basilicata, in the heart of the Pollino National Park, is the small town of Laino Borgo. Enclosed between the courses of the Lao river and the Iannello river, the historic centre, criss-crossed by its narrow alleys, offers glimpses of natural panoramas or of hidden openings and courtyards, small churches and houses with typical stone portals (reminiscent of the old noble palaces) that follow one after the other until reaching the Chiesa Matrice del Santo Spirito.

Latronico

The name Latronico would seem to mean 'hidden place' and in fact this small village, immersed and submerged in the unspoilt beauty of the Pollino Park, is a destination for conscious and slow tourism. With its history and countless natural resources (and more) Latronico offers an incredible range of experiences. Its territory, extremely rich and varied, reserves many surprises and it is almost unbelievable that this small village manages to offer so many interesting proposals.

Lecce

'Lecce retains a stately quality, almost of a drawing room distinct from the amenities of the surrounding area. If one enters the old part, the many Baroque churches and palaces, now on the face, now on the side, in small squares and streets, and arranged in corners with a theatrical flair, would look like a series of small theatres. Everything seems arranged and adorned for a slight theatrical play; a comedy by Goldoni would not be out of place here; church façades, palaces and their combined effects, hand down through the centuries an exquisitely provisional mood, as if they were to last just one evening, but an evening that counts, perhaps definitive. (Guido Piovene)

Maratea

'It is a wonderful country... magnificent... there is no other place I know that is as valid in me as this one you see. The colours especially, they are primordial colours."
Cesare Pavese
