L' Oste D' Arberia

The family project of L'Oste d'Arberia was born in a building dating back to 1919. A place open to lovers of wine and good food, where there is a perfect blend of old and new.
L'Oste d'Arberia is the result of the long experience in the field of sommellerie and also catering of Francesco, who together with his family has created the place to experience the culture of Arberia, a geographical expression that identifies the Italo-Albanian community. The menu offers a decisive juxtaposition of tradition and innovation, a fusion of 'simple' and 'revisited' cuisine, always choosing organic products and local excellence. One part of the building houses the wine cellar, where a careful selection of wines representing the local, regional and top national labels can be found.
In addition, the small rooms will be able to accommodate artists who wish to exhibit their works. And the small garden offers the opportunity to experience conviviality in contact with nature.

The Byzantine

For those arriving in the city of Rossano, a town with an ancient Byzantine past, a visit to its many splendid monuments such as the Monastery of the Patire, the Church of the Panaghia, the Church of St Mark and the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art where the Codex Purpureus Rossanensis, a valuable 6th century illuminated gospel book, is kept.
After visiting the many treasures of the place, for lunch or dinner based on traditional flavours, a stop at the trattoria-pizzeria 'La bizantina', located in the immediate vicinity, is a must.
of St Mark's Church.
"La Bizantina' knows how to be welcoming in every season; during the winter, the atmosphere in the restaurant is reminiscent of the past, with its stone walls, warmed by the flame of a fireplace that is always lit, while in the spring, the trattoria-pizzeria 'La Bizantina' is transformed and gives way to a garden in bloom that is nothing short of splendid, where the flavour of each dish is further enhanced by the enchanting scenery of the Rossano mountains that provide the backdrop to each meal.
In all this, the service and friendliness of the owner, 'The Director', and his wife, the cook, excel, making this place one of the most sought-after for lovers of taste and refinement.

La Cantina del Vesuvio

The Cantina del Vesuvio is located in the Vesuvius National Park, in the municipality of Trecase. Given its location, it is the ideal stop for a break between the visit to the excavations of Pompeii, Herculaneum or Oplonti and the ascent to the crater of Vesuvius.

The history of the La Cantina del Vesuvio winery began in 1930, when Giovanni Russo decided to found a small winery in Trecase, on the slopes of Vesuvius, a particularly fertile area suitable for growing vines.

Soon, Giovanni's son Maurizio joined the company. He began helping his father in his business by starting out as a labourer, until about the time, Maurizio matured the decision to further improve the quality of the products by limiting, as a consequence, the distribution and selling the wine only directly on site. Together with this decision, he decided to open the winery to guided tours for tourists and visitors.

The company is one of the first in southern Italy to host tourists by offering tastings and guided tours in a magical place between the sea and the fire, making it one of the most visited wineries in the area.

One of the company's flagship products is the white, red and rosé Lacryma Christi DOC wine: this is a wine made from the indigenous grapes of Vesuvius, already known in Roman times (the first evidence of grape cultivation on Vesuvius dates back, in fact, to the 5th century BC). Lacryma Christi DOC is a highly appreciated wine and represents a highly identifiable excellence that is profoundly linked to the lava nature of the territory: the roots of the vines, in fact, sink into a dark and porous soil that does not need to be watered as it retains moisture and then releases it.

Visiting the company is a true immersive experience that brings you closer to the territory: after visiting the cellars and learning about all the production methods, it will be possible to taste the wines, paired with typical Vesuvian specialities.

La Paranza

La Paranza restaurant is located in the seaside village of the old city of Taranto.
It is divided into four indoor rooms and a veranda overlooking the sea, with a total of 110 seats that are well suited for private events, informal gatherings and business meetings. The entrance hall presents the catch of the day from which you can choose the fish to be prepared by the chefs. The remaining rooms, equally elegant and carefully furnished, present a reserved and comfortable ambience, ideal for private events and corporate dinners. There is also a veranda, the most atmospheric setting in the entire restaurant, which overlooks the sea directly opposite the fishing village. The cuisine follows the rhythm of the seasons according to the catch of the day, paying the utmost attention to the highest quality raw materials that give the dishes the taste and flavour typical of Taranto and Apulian cuisine.
Raw fish is the undisputed star, in all its forms. From seafood, including mussels, nuts, oysters, hairy mussels and urchins, to carpaccios, tartare and shellfish.

La Rondinella - Osteria Pop

La rondinella - Osteria Pop is located at the foot of Scalea's historical centre and was established about 30 years ago, thanks to Anna and Ciriaco's passion for cooking and country life. A project that from the very first moment cultivated the goal of reviving the tastes of a past that seems, thus, less distant.

The restaurant consists of a large, rustic and cosy dining room, where guests will be welcomed and accompanied by Giovanni and Francesca on a journey through flavours and old-fashioned recipes, being able to choose from dishes that combine the quality of the raw materials with chef Antonio's flair.

The menu, which is always varied, is in fact an ongoing quest to combine tradition and innovation, starting with fresh ingredients that arrive directly and daily from the family farm.

Finally, a small, well-kept outdoor area will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy their meals outdoors, with the possibility of participating in musical and cultural evenings.
