The Cultural Association 'I SETTEVENTI DEL POLLINO' is located in Civita (CS), a small and beautiful Calabrian village in the Pollino National Park. The association's objective is to give a new image to falconry, no longer understood as a hunting practice but as an ancient art linked to the world of birds, now a UNESCO heritage site. The activities include a guided "interactive didactic" trail aimed at getting to know some common species of birds of prey present in the park and breeding them. The route is not physically demanding as long as you are equipped with comfortable shoes, so it is suitable for everyone and consists of approximately 500/600 m of comfortable walking. Along the way, we will learn a great deal of information about the life, curiosities and evolution of these fairy-tale creatures that we will meet on our way, making for a unique and exciting experience.
By carrying out its activities, I Setteventi del Pollino also wishes to offer the opportunity to get to know and enhance the importance of the area's agriculture, also from an environmental and cultural point of view, and to promote biodiversity also in the livestock sector.
