The Baron's Attic

The B&B 'La soffitta del Barone' links its name to a historical building: the former residence of the Baron of Mormanno. In the early 1900s, when it was impossible to reach the urban centres, by the will of Francesco Maria Sarubbi, a pioneer of education in Calabria, it became the seat of a small but renowned boarding school that allowed a host of willing and underprivileged young people to successfully access studies.
The Bed and Breakfast "La soffitta del Barone" located in the attic of an 18th century building in the historic centre wants to offer tourists, mountain lovers, the traditional hospitality of the people of Mormanno, a small town perched on the foothills of the Pollino Apennine chain.
